Publieke Zaken is looking for several interns to join our team as of September 2025! The internship period will be for 6 months.

Publieke Zaken is a public affairs consultancy based in The Hague. We advise organizations particularly in the sustainability, climate, energy, agriculture, circular economy and mobility sectors in the development and implementation of their public affairs strategy.

Who are we looking for?

• A college or university student (bachelor's/master's degree);
• You have an affinity for politics, media and society;
• You have an interest in sustainability, climate, energy, circular economy and mobility issues (not necessarily knowledge or experience required);
• You are communicative, analytically strong and independent;
• You have command of the Dutch language both verbally and in writing (English is an advantage).

What will you do?

Interns participate fully in our team as soon as possible. Initially, you will primarily be involved in following and analyzing debates and decision-making in municipalities, provinces, and the national parliament and reporting on this to our clients. In addition, there is room to assist with other work in the office.

By the end of the internship, you will have a good idea of the work of a public affairs consultant and have delved into one of the biggest societal challenges of our time: energy transition.
