Publieke Zaken is constantly working to improve our external communication and presentation. This includes developing our website and online presence, designing our products, and the way we convey our mission and vision. We want to further professionalize our communications and marketing efforts to achieve an even stronger brand position in the market. That is why we are looking for a junior/mid-level communications specialist who Publieke Zaken support Publieke Zaken in this development and contribute ideas on how we can better present ourselves both internally and externally.
Since this position is new within our organization, you’ll have plenty of freedom to shape the role yourself. We’re looking for someone who takes the initiative, identifies opportunities, and contributes their own ideas and insights to the further development of our communications strategy.
What will you do?
This is an independent communications role in which you’ll take both a proactive and an operational approach as part of a friendly team. You’re proactive, take the initiative, and are comfortable in an environment where not everything is clearly defined. You see it as a challenge to contribute creative ideas to strengthen our communications. You have an eye for quality and take pride in a well-crafted final product.
Your responsibilities will include, among other things:
- Improving the design and consistency of our products, sales and marketing materials
- Management and further development of our LinkedIn page, including content planning and creation
- Drafting, editing, and coordinating newsletters and other communications
- Management and ongoing development of the website, both in terms of content and design
- Improving our website's online visibility through SEO optimization and content development
- Monitor and analyze website and social media performance and translate these findings into improvement actions
- Monitoring and contributing ideas regarding our corporate identity and brand image in all communications
- Providing support in organizing events, meetings, and webinars
- Identifying communication opportunities and proactively proposing new initiatives to increase our visibility
In addition, there are several substantive topics ready to be explored further, such as:
- Brand and Positioning (actively contributing ideas on positioning and visual brand identity)
- Strengthening Online Presence and Visibility
- Streamlining external communications and supporting production
- Organizing Events
Who are you?
- Vocational and higher vocational education (MBO/HBO) level of work and thinking
- Proven experience in content creation and editorial skills
- Experience with SEO and digital visibility (WordPress or similar CMS platforms)
- Strong sense of visual design and corporate identity, with experience in Microsoft Office and Adobe tools
- Experience with LinkedIn in a B2B environment
- The ability to quickly understand what our work is all about and to translate that into our communication channels.
- You work independently, take the initiative, and maintain a clear overview
- You feel comfortable in a casual organization with short lines of communication
- You are assertive and have the confidence to identify and seize opportunities to further develop the communications and marketing function
What do we offer?
- A versatile position for 24–32 hours per week
- 1-year contract with the possibility of renewal or a permanent position
- A salary, depending on experience, ranging from €2,500 to €2,950 on a full-time basis, and a possible annual bonus
