Update My Publieke Zaken - New features

Today we went live with an update to My Publieke Zaken! In collaboration with a designer, we already redesigned our emails last summer to optimize readability. We have also implemented a number of other structural improvements over the past period.

In order to properly represent your interests, it is necessary to know exactly what the latest developments are. Keeping a sharp eye on external developments concerning energy and climate policy requires specialist knowledge of both procedures and content. Our monitoring service My Publieke Zaken keeps you informed of what is going on in your dossier, both in political The Hague and Brussels and, if necessary, at provinces and municipalities.

Our way of working
Publieke Zaken is connected to the information supply of parliament and various government agencies in the Netherlands, Europe and in the province and municipality. We also use various smart search engines, algorithms and AI to track all social and policy developments relevant to your files. We do not just put everything through, but select the policy documents, bills, motions, amendments, written questions and other political and specialist documents and publications relevant to you. Press releases and weblogs from political parties, industry associations, and employer and employee organizations are also seen. Even before legislation goes to the House of Representatives, we notify you of draft bills in order to be timely prepared for consultation procedures in which you can share your input.

We analyze the news coverage for you, bring the information directly to your attention if necessary, and suggest (possible) follow-up actions and strategic steps.

Several new features will become available with this update to Publieke Zaken :

Theme and document types
For each theme, you can determine which document types you would like to receive immediately, daily or weekly within this theme. This allows you to tailor the information and frequency of our e-mails even better to your personal needs.

PZ documents
In the PZ documents section, the advisors of Publieke Zaken share relevant summaries and analyses that you have previously received from us. Among others, the weekly monitors, analyses of Budget Day and the relevant documents of the Climate and Energy Outlook 2019 (KEV) can be found here and are directly accessible.

My Files
As of now, it is also possible to create your own files in your account at www.mijnpubliekezaken.eu and store documents relevant to you in them. This makes it even easier to collect all relevant documents of, for example, a certain legislative proposal together and always have them ready.

Improved search function
In the new design of My Publieke Zaken , we have made several structural improvements to the search function. To quickly locate a specific document, you can select on many different additional properties such as date, theme, author, file number, etc.

Calendar synchronization
It was already possible to synchronize the entire political calendar from My Publieke Zaken with your own Google, iCal or Outlook calendar. From now on, it is also possible to import a single agenda item from the Weekly Monitor or from the portal into your personal calendar.

Publieke Zaken is not a news service, but a public affairs consulting firm. Information we send is to the point and comes with an opinion. We always place information we send in a political and procedural context so that you can quickly decide whether further action is needed. Moreover, the information will be in clear language that you can disseminate internally in your organization. Of course, we are also available for questions.

Europe
Much of today's energy, environmental and agricultural policy comes from Brussels. Therefore, our European monitoring helps you to see legislation coming from the start. Through the EU Monitor, you follow the most important developments in the European Commission, the European Parliament and the Council of Ministers. We know better than anyone that European decision-making sometimes looks chaotic and opaque. That is why we provide our EU Monitor with clear explanations of the procedures and next steps. Via My Publieke Zaken you can see at a glance which stage of the European decision-making process a document or decision is in. Do you then want to respond proactively to the decision-making process? That's no problem either: Publieke Zaken supports and guides you in establishing contacts in Brussels, so that you know your way around not only on The Hague Square but also on the Place du Luxembourg.

The Netherlands
Publieke Zaken has offices a stone's throw from the Binnenhof. Needless to say, we follow developments closely. The national monitoring of Publieke Zaken is very extensive. With a subscription to My Publieke Zaken , you are assured that in addition to the most relevant laws and letters, you also have the opportunity to be informed about every request, e-mail procedure and written question. There is also the possibility of receiving reports of the most relevant debates through My Publieke Zaken . Thus, My Publieke Zaken provides customization for each user.

Province and Municipality
The implementation of energy and environmental policies is increasingly falling to local governments, for example through Regional Energy Strategies (RESs). To get a grip on the implementation agendas of European and national policies, insight into politics at the decentralized level is of great importance. My Publieke Zaken gives you access to political decision-making in all Dutch provinces and major municipalities. We track not only the provincial capitals, but also municipalities that play an important role in the energy transition. Moreover, Publieke Zaken streamlines for you the information coming from the municipalities and provinces. Thus, we are always available to provide further analysis of agreements, strategies and budgets.
