Hans van Cleef serves as Head of Energy Research & Strategy (ERS) at Publieke Zaken, where he started in early January 2023. After studying Business Economics, Hans started in 2000 as a team leader at a subsidiary of ABN AMRO Bank called AAGUS FSG. He then worked for several years as a treasury advisor at ABN AMRO Private Banking Netherlands, and then went on to focus entirely on research within the same organization as a currency and commodity/energy analyst. From early 2012, Hans worked for ten years as a senior energy economist (VP) at the Economic Bureau of ABN AMRO. At Publieke Zaken, in his role as Head of Energy Research & Strategy, Hans follows the energy market in the broadest possible sense (oil, gas, wind, solar, co2 emissions) and regularly reports on the energy market in various publications, presentations, media interviews and through social media. Publieke Zaken ERS offers various products, including a market update (oil & gas, electricity, and energy transition) and also Hans provides interpretation of the energy market and transition through customized webinars or Keynote speeches.
