PZ ERS in the news - Military conflict in the Red Sea intensifies: what are consumers noticing?

American and British military attacks on Houthis in Yemen, with support from the Netherlands, are driving up oil and gas prices and risk premiums for container transport in the Red Sea. But not very much. What exactly is going on? And what are the consequences for us? Hans van Cleef spoke to the Telegraph.

"These attacks were already priced into the already rising rates for oil and gas," said energy analyst Hans van Cleef of consultant Publieke Zaken about the increase of about five dollars. "Historically, such an attack in the oil-rich Middle East would lead to at least ten to fifteen dollars extra per barrel."
