The new department will be headed by Hans van Cleef. He is transferring from ABN Amro Bank where he had been following developments in the financial markets in various roles since 2002. From 2012, Hans worked as a senior energy economist at the bank's Economics Department and regularly addressed the media on developments in energy commodities and the energy transition. He is also a columnist at Energiepodium.nl and a regular guest at Studio Energie's market updates.
In addition to our well-known political monitor, we are offering a new monitoring service on energy markets with Hans. In it we provide several times a month market updates on developments in the relevant markets. These are divided into a market update for oil and gas, a market update for electricity and a market update of developments relevant to the energy transition. In addition, we regularly include developments and pricing of CO₂ emission rights (EU ETS). The market updates provide insight into price developments and are provided with extensive interpretation. You will receive interim updates from us as soon as market conditions warrant it.
