On Tuesday, Aug. 23, Defense Minister Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert was a guest at Publieke Zaken. The minister gave a brief introduction on the relationship between international security and energy. We also jointly looked ahead to the coming political year and the March 2017 elections. The geopolitical dynamics are demanding more and more attention and more often the defense ministry is called upon. Securing trade routes, access to raw materials and energy, as well as our own security require continuous attention.
