Public Affairs is the strategic process of responding to political decision-making. This includes identifying changes in society and public opinion that affect the functioning of one's own organization. It is about delivering the right message, at the right time, to the right person, from the right sender. In Public Affairs, it is important to have an understanding of the political and policy developments currently underway (political monitoring). In addition, it is essential to know which other organizations are trying to influence political decision-making (stakeholder management and coalition building). Here it must also be clear what differences of opinion exist in the discussion of the issue (issue management).
